The Clutch : Looks from the Golden Globes

Sunday night’s Golden Globes proved to be another head-turning fashion moment. From Jessica Alba’s ultra feminine salmon-pink Christian Dior to Helen Mirren’s edgy Badgley Mischka gown, I was loving every second of it. And while everyone was striking their poses, it was hard to miss the clutches in their hands.

The clutch is a perfect companion for your wedding day of any soirée. It’s practical (for your lipgloss, a small compact, some mints) and small enough that your MOH won’t feel burdened with holding it for you! Can you name that clutch below?

1. Rachel Weisz had the best accessory all evening. Her clutch wasn’t shabby either!

2. Jennifer Lopez’s lacy Zuhair Murad number was so over the top, a simple metallic clutch made sense.

3. Golden Globe host Amy Poehler struck the right note with a chic, angular clutch.

4. With one of my favorite looks of the evening, Emily Blunt complemented gold lace with sparkle.

5. Megan Fox’s velvety red clutch looked striking against her off white gown.

6. Glitter was the way to go with Jennifer Lawrence’s regal red frock.

7. Ultra feminine Jessica Alba went with a feathery number to go with her salmon pink Dior.

8. Golden Globe cohost Tina Fey looked gorgeous with a tapered look at matching black and white clutch.

9. The most accessorized and styled I’ve seen Jodie Foster in years, her sleek clutch matched her beaded gown perfectly.

Wedding Color Forecast : Tangerine and Violet

Pantone is the company that researches and forecasts the colors for the upcoming year. They announced a while back that Emerald was the it color for 2013. Colors like Linen are timeless and great bases to build a wedding palette around too. But my favorite on the list are African Violet and Tangerine. Can’t you just see a whole day built around those hues?

A Few of My Favorite *Red* Things

I really love this time of year. It’s festive and fun and there’s too much eye candy to handle. While I’m shopping for others, I’m taking in all kinds of inspiration for the upcoming year too. Lately I’ve been curating a lot of red. Enjoy the rich colors and themes! Happy Friday, everyone. 12Graphic and modern cake via Project Wedding

Spring 2013 : Bridal Ruffles

I loved the pattern and print of yesterday’s post. And I love it even more on a wedding dress. Mine was a one-shoulder custom made crepe jersey dress and I sewed on the silk floral myself. I’ll have to dig up a photo and post it…

Would you or did you wear a dress that had lots of wow factor? What stood out about your silhouette? Here are highlights of the Spring 2013 wedding collections.

What did Anne and Adam’s Wedding Look Like?

I’m enamored with the blurry photos of Anne Hathaway’s nuptials to jewelry designer, Adam Shulman this past Saturday. With around 100 guests they supposedly spent a whopping $100,000 on floral alone. Good for them! Here’s my vision of their day in Big Sur.
